Lima, Peru…discovering its beautiful streets, colors and shapes!
A few days ago I happened to travel to Lima for my frist time. What an amazing city with colorful streets, beautiful architecture and impressively clean! I can’t wait to come back, which should be very soon 🙂
Around the historic center…
what a beautiful scenery…
with its clean streets…
and bright shapes…
you may walk all day long…
and breathe color and beauty…
the entrance of the hotel where pisco sour was invented…
some firefighters on their way to work…
and an amazing statue story! What you see right in front is a statue of a greek goddess or something like that, which was commissioned to some sculptor (I’m sometimes not so good at remembering exact names but I got the main point that I’m going to tell) who was told to put a “llama’ on her head! “llama” is the spanish translation for flame, but it is also spelled the same way for the animal. The commission meant for the sculptor to put a flame on the goddess head, BUT the guy thought they meant the animal, and that’s what he put on the goddess head, a Llama. [From the picture you can’t really tell but when you come to Lima check out this place, Plaza San Martin] 🙂
